Fly Away a novel by Kristin Hannah

Kristin Hannah, the acclaimed author of The Nightingale and Fire Fly Lane has written another emotionally riveting novel – Fly Away.  Fly Away,  is a story of friendship, family and loss.  It tells the story of Tully Hart, a talk show host and Tully’s best friend Kate Ryan’s family. Tully and Kate, as they were known were inseparable,until Kate’s death.  Kate was the glue that held everyone together, when Kate dies, everything falls apart.

Fly Away is a sequel to Fire Fly Lane.  Kristin Hannah wrote it in a way that it could be read alone.  I agree,  it can, I didn’t know it was a sequel until I read the author’s notes at the end of the book.

Now, I can’t wait to read Fire Fly Lane and get to know all the characters better: Johnny, Kate’s husband, Marah, Wills and Lucas Kate’s children, Margie and Bud, Kate’s parents.  Also Tully, Cloud, Tully’s mother and  especially Kate.
